- PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a high-performance, white thermoplastic polymer best known under the trade name Teflon. It is chemically inert and offers outstanding resistance to nearly all chemicals and solvents. PTFE has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material, making it ideal for applications requiring reduced wear and friction. It operates effectively in extremely wide temperature ranges, from -200°C to +260°C, and is non-reactive even in aggressive environments. PTFE is widely used in gaskets, seals, electrical insulation, chemical linings, and non-stick surfaces.
