EMA Rubber -Ethylene Methyl Acrylate Copolymer)
- EMA (Ethylene Methyl Acrylate Copolymer) rubber is a specialty elastomer that bridges the performance gap between polyethylene and more oil-resistant rubbers like ACM or NBR. It offers good resistance to heat, oils, and oxidation, along with excellent low-temperature flexibility (down to -40°C). Its stable dielectric properties also make it a common choice for wire and cable insulation. EMA has a softer, rubbery texture and is easily extrudable and moldable. It’s used in automotive seals, hoses, vibration control parts, and electrical insulation, especially where a balance of flexibility, heat resistance, and moderate oil compatibility is required.
