PTFE Carbon- Polytetrafluoroethylene
- PTFE Carbon (Carbon-Filled PTFE) is a modified version of virgin PTFE that incorporates carbon powder or fibers to enhance its mechanical strength, wear resistance, and antistatic properties. The material remains chemically inert and retains the wide temperature stability of pure PTFE (from -200°C to +260°C), while offering improved load-carrying capacity and reduced deformation under stress. The black color is due to the carbon content, which also imparts electrical conductivity, making it suitable for use in electrically sensitive or explosive environments. PTFE Carbon is commonly used in seals, wear rings, piston rings, and components in high-load, high-speed, or chemically aggressive systems.
